Yoga & Teacher

Reka grew up in the cosmopolitan city of Budapest and lives in Zürich since 2012. Movement has been always an important aspect in her life, so naturally she enjoyed the first yoga classes as a form of well-balanced exercise. She was amazed by how a regular yoga practice not only promotes strength and flexibility, but increases one's sense of awareness, mindfulness and purpose. After she relocated to Switzerland for work and dived deep into her research (in natural sciences), she found yoga as a way to balance the fast-paced rhythm of the professional world.

After several yoga retreats to deepen her practice she found Sanapurna, a peaceful, warm space in the heart of Zürich, where she completed the 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training Course (TTC) in 2018. She soon felt the urge to learn more and completed the Yoga Nidra (Yogic sleep) TTC in 2021 and continued her life-long learning journey with the 300 hours Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Course (ATTC).

She desires to combine western and eastern health sciences to share her yoga practice, promote well-being, self-discovery and help others find a better balance in life and a better connection to their body and mind. Reka`s yoga practice will forever be one of her favorite paradox: FINDING STILLNESS IN MOVEMENT.

Reka is teaching Hatha Yoga based classes for all levels in English. She combines longer holds of the asanas with flowing sequences and gives different options where needed. Breath awareness, pranayama, alignment, hands-on adjustments and self-reflection are integral parts of her classes.

2 Yoga classes, 60-90 MIN will be offered daily (morning & evening). Usually we practice on the sundeck while the yacht is mooring in a quiet bay. In some bays there is a possibility to do the yoga session on the beach/land. High quality yoga mats, blocks and bolsters are provided for you on the yacht. Nevertheless we recommend participants to bring their own equipment if they have special personal preferences.

«Yoga is not about touching your toes, it is what you learn on the way down.»
